ok well i havent really been online since thursday so this is for the days missed also. friday i did no training as fridays are my recovery days. got cracking on making yummy christmas treats. saturday was spent in hastings doing last minute shopping but my actual training took place as i had a tri on sunday and i generally dont train the day before a tri. sunday came and i felt crook but did the tri anyway. i wasnt actually sick just felt wrong in the tummy came out all good tho and came 1st in my grade. thats it now onto the longer distance next race (18th january). my time was 3 minutes sl0wer than last race but position was better. the wind was a shocking header on the express way so thatl explain the timing. will check my splits wednesday (thats when they normally come online) and analise time differences from there. eating has been pretty good so am hoping for a better loss this week too. well thats it for now will write again tomorrow

today has been good! first day feeling semi normal in a few. got up at 5:30 this morning and went for an 8k run! first run in almost 2 weeks! felt really good afterwards. then had cereal for breakfast. my sister came over with the 2 kids she had today and we walked to the park with them for morning tea and a play. only outside an hour or so and managed to get burnt! had a laxy afternoon from there. went to the dr to get depo so had to jump on scales. 73! so if theyre correct im 1kg down since monday night happy with that. i need to up the anti. havent really had lunch as such just picked (very dangerous) had some ham off the bone, a small packet of grain waves and 2 yoghurt. and 3 biscuits too! my cold is clearing well those couple of days off did the trick. am glad i didnt go swimming last night they swam in the ocean at east pier ew yuk no thanks! got my 1st christmas prezzies today from the kids i look after, 2 red and white glass tealight candle holders and some yummy shower gel, moisturiser and body butter! thanks kiddies. afternoon tea consisted of a pear and 1/2 a honeydew melon yum yum! fish and salad for tea so i shouldnt think today was a bad one food wise or training either.
well must be off to do housework before partner gets home from work!

i sit here eating rice crackers for morning tea wondering how it is the bigger the breakfast the hungrier i seem to be during the day!
this morning i had 2 poached eggs on toast with tomato. my logical thinking if i had a good wholesome breakfast i wouldnt need morning tea. 2 hours later im hungry again! i dont get it.
i didnt go to bats last night. my nose is so green ( i know thats gross and u didnt need to know that but it is) so swimming in the scum pond (pandora pond) is off tonight too. i hope its gone by sunday, my next triathlon is then. last small one and the last one for 08, i really want to go but i wont be if im not well. im going to book in for a massage today. my calves have some really hearty knots in them. i think this will releive a lot of stress too. the kids are driving me nuts today. i say this as ben escapes bed again and samantha insists on sitting on my coffee table one more time gggrrr bring on my holiday. only 5 days of work!! 8 days till christmas. only glen to buy for! but what the hell to buy???

day one of the rest of my life! 16.12.08
well i have a shitty cold today! ment to have bats tonight (cycling club) but ill see how im feeling this afternoon as to wether i go or not. if i dont ill go for a walk instead. i always get colds this time of the year! lots of fruit and vegies and water!
had weigh in last night and suprisingly lost 300g. i know thats not much but i thought id have gained last night so im pleased. exactly 19kgs to go now. as i wrote yesterday i have decided i am going to compete in ironman 09 in rotorua (ive been told thats the best one to do) so im looking forward to the new challenges that lie ahead. ive also decided i might do my diploma in early childhood education too. which means im going to have to get my licence as ill have to do to other areas for workshops etc... what a year i have ahead! im really hoping my ga (grandmother) will be back by nov next year to watch me do the half.... this is all i can think about, and theres still 52 weeks haha but if i stay like this good thing is ill stay focused. a year ago i couldnt swim at all, barely run 4ks (a year and a half ago i had never run in my life), and hadnt ridden a bike in years. its hard to believe what ive achieved in such a short time. i can swim competently, 2ks some days and am getting confident in the open water. have run a half marathon and regularly run 10ks at a time. and have completed a century ride, well 110ks. im very proud of myself!
well im off to source some orange juice to kick this cold in the arse. next triathlon is sunday. my last short distance and last one for 08.

this week has been terrible training wise. im not looking forward to the scales tonight. my friend completed (and with a great time) rotorua half iron man this weekend. I am so inspired by her ive decided im going to do it. not for a couple of years tho. 2010 is the year. i pick this date so i can build up properly. im needing ALOT of training so i figure set a 2 year time line and ill be on the start line no probs. so my main events goals are
*18/1/09 first long distance tri - 750/21/4.5
*25/1/09 100km ride tour de beautiful chb
*july 09 norswood to tak half marathon
*sept 09 hatuma half marathon
*oct 09 110k ride tour of the bay
*nov 09 ride half the taupo race
*dec 10 half iron man.
there will be lots of events inbetween all of this but these are my biggies!
this should also help with getting me to my goal weight of 55kgs. theres a lady on the ww forums who lost the amount i need to in 5 months. this is also my mission. bring it!!!!
will be back tomorrow after the dreaded weigh in. today is a new day, a clean slate to eat only good wholesome food off!!!

ok i have decided to blog my journey from here on. im hoping it will help me to vent and see my patterns in life so i can detect problem times. all very new to me but im sure ill get the hang of it.
so today is friday. end of the week and dare i say it nearly the end of the working year for me. i have 2 weeks off from christmas day onwards. feeling very lethargic this week. training is at an all time low. was ment to go for my swim this morning but slept instead. will do something this afternoon before going to my work christmas do. its very hot outside so might go swim instead of the run i planned. wouldnt want to turn up to the do still all red faced lol. food has been way too tempting today. not cool!! need to keep busy and ignore the calling thats coming from the pantry. might go dance to the wiggles with the kids now, thats exercise isnt it?!? will come back in the morning ! tata
